I visited homelane Interiors for my flat interior. In first visit, An advance payment of ₹**,*** was made on *th May **** at **:** pm as they were pressuring me with *% discount deal and ₹**,*** on **th May ****, totaling ₹**,***, which was duly received and approved. However, at the time of booking and even after receipt of payment, no terms and conditions regarding cancellation or any “No Refund” policy were discussed or communicated to me either verbally or in writing. As a consumer, transparency regarding financial commitments and refund policies before accepting advance payments is a basic expectation. The absence of such disclosure has caused inconvenience, confusion, and a breach of trust.
Further, during the booking stage, specific wardrobe colours and finishes were presented as available within the discussed budget. However, at the time of finalizing the designs, I was informed that those colours were either not available in stock or could only be provided at significantly higher prices. This created unexpected constraints in colour, texture, and material selection within the agreed budget. The options ultimately offered did not match what was initially represented, which directly affected my confidence in continuing with the project.
It is important to clarify that my decision to discontinue is not due to budget constraints, but due to lack of transparency, inconsistency in commitments — including a verbally assured **-year maintenance guarantee that was not reflected in written policy — and limitations in design options that were not communicated at the time of booking. I had informed the concerned office representatives prior to the **-day period, yet refund-related terms were never explained at that stage.
