- A Sales Trap and Professional Nightmare Beware of Homelane Gopalan Mall ^Closed

I strongly advise anyone considering Homelane for their home interiors to stay away. Our experience at the Gopalan Mall Experience Center (starting Nov **, ****) has been a complete nightmare of manipulation, lack of transparency, and zero professionalism.
​The "Budget Trap":
They started with a ** Lakh quotation for our *BHK, modular kitchen, and TV unit. Once they asked for our budget and we said *-* Lakhs, they miraculously matched it to * Lakhs just to get the booking. To pressure us, they offered **k worth of vouchers (appliances + wallpaper) only if we paid a **% deposit the same day.
​The Refund Trap:
Within * days (Dec *), they rushed a guy for measurements. The catch: Homelane policy states once measurements are taken, you aren’t eligible for a full refund. They did this as fast as possible, but the designer didn't even bother to show up for the visit or answer calls.
​Complete Lack of Design & Communication:
​Silence: After taking the money, the WhatsApp group was useless. We sent Pinterest ideas and got no response for days.
​Incompetence: When the designer finally sent "designs," they were random, non-relevant drawings or old sketches from our first meeting.
​The Quotation Scam: When we finally demanded a formal quote for the * Lakhs promised, they had removed an entire bedroom from the scope to make the numbers fit. Later, they shared a *.* Lakh quote where the appliances were removed without telling us.
​Missing Staff: Every time we had a meeting or deadline, the designer or manager was "on leave." We had to deal with multiple new designers because the staff is clearly overworked and under-qualified. They expect one person to handle sales, design, and site visits, which is impossible.
​The Breaking Point:
After ** days of chasing them, they sent *D renders that looked nothing like what we discussed. We have cancelled our booking and are now fighting for our money.
​Final Warning:
Don't be fooled by the low initial quotes or the "vouchers." I went to another Homelane branch and got a quote for * Lakhs for the same requirements—proving the Gopalan Mall team just makes up numbers to trap you. There are too many managers and not enough actual designers. The implementation will likely be as messy as the design phase. Save your money and your peace of mind—go elsewhere.
