I booked a hotel through Goibibo (Booking ID: GH**************, PNR: **********) for Luxe Stays Signature Pushkar under the room category “Private Villa with Indoor Private Pool (Dinner & Breakfast Included)” by paying ₹*,***.
This trip was planned to celebrate our anniversary and I was travelling with my wife and our *.*-year-old child. Based on the confirmed booking issued by Goibibo, we travelled approximately * hours to reach Pushkar.
Upon reaching the property, the hotel informed us that the room category we had booked (Private Villa with Indoor Private Pool) was not available as all the rooms in that category had already been sold to other guests. They mentioned that only another room category without a private pool could be provided, which was completely different from what I had booked.
I immediately contacted Goibibo customer support. Their executive called the hotel to verify the issue, and the hotel confirmed to the Goibibo executive that the room category booked by me was not available. After this, the Goibibo executive suggested an alternate property – Nature Village Resort – and assured that a similar room category would be arranged there.
Based on Goibibo’s assurance, I travelled to the alternate property. However, upon reaching there, the resort clearly denied check-in stating that they had not received any booking confirmation from Goibibo.
Due to this complete negligence and mismanagement by Goibibo, I was left stranded after travelling several hours with my wife and my *.*-year-old child despite holding a confirmed booking. I had no option but to arrange accommodation myself and ended up paying ₹**,*** directly to the resort.
This entire incident caused severe inconvenience, mental stress, and completely ruined our anniversary trip.
What is even more disappointing is that despite raising the issue with Goibibo and sending multiple emails and follow-ups, the company has not properly resolved the matter and has largely ignored my complaints.
This reflects serious deficiency of service, negligence, and unfair practices by Goibibo, which resulted in financial loss and harassment to me and my family.
I request Goibibo to refund the original booking amount of ₹*,***, reimburse the additional ₹**,*** paid due to their failure, and provide appropriate compensation for the harassment, negligence, and distress caused.
